New year. New beginnings. 2020 has been left in the dust and new opportunities for 2021 are now taking shape for StripeHomes and the property sector.
StripeHomes is taking UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s rally call to ‘build, build, build’ as its first priority into 2021 and further growing the business with support of our clients, investors and partners.
State of play
It was well documented that there was a slowdown across the property and construction sector in 2020 due to covid-19. Restrictions were lifted in May 2020 with measures in place such as social distancing and covid-secure work environments coming into play.
Whilst this means there has been some knock on effects to the sector StripeHomes has been able to adapt to continue on site and deliver developments including our Quayside View Studios development in Newcastle.
StripeHomes is now is a strong position in 2021 to deliver new development and opportunities for investors, landlords and homebuyers.
Quayside View Studios – Newcastle
Quayside View Studios has progressed with some complexities along the way.
The bank the site is located on had metal structures that impeded the weather-proof screen installation – these have now been checked and reinstalled as per the engineer’s reports.
The steep bank led to a number of Tree Protection Orders (TPOs) being reviewed and the structural wall being redesigned to accommodate the issue identified along with the visual impact of the development – once complete the main steel framework due to commence.
Both tower frameworks will be installed in the coming months with one of the two towers complete and open to residents for September/October 2021.
5 Cross Street – Newcastle
StripeHomes also released its 5 Cross Street development in Q4 last year with the development set to start around Q2 with a 15 month development timeframe.
Apart-Hotel – Newcastle
Our apart-hotel in a prime location in Newcastle city centre has been secured, designed and purchased from StripeHomes by a leading provider – once contracts are finalised we will announce more details.
2021 New Developments & Opportunities
The company recently appointed Stephen Corbett as its commercial director in a newly created role which will see StripeHomes to expand into housebuilding and also into the Midlands region.
Under Stephen’s remit StripeHomes have a number of upcoming developments for two, three, four and five bedroom homes with a suite of designs as well as designs of apartment blocks for future sites.
25 St Paul’s – Birmingham
A number of new sites have been identified including a development in a prime location in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter which contains a four unit two bed, two bath luxury apartments with a commercial unit that has already been sold by StripeHomes.
StripeHomes is due to be on site in April 2021 and complete the scheme in 10 months – planning images and further details are set to be released in the coming weeks.
Housing Development – Lichfield
StripeHomes has a 12 plot three bed townhouse development coming soon in Lichfield aimed at first time buyers – we expect to be on site in Q2 in 2021 with a ten month build time.
Housing Development – Lincolnshire
StripeHomes has a 23 unit development coming soon in Lincolnshire aimed at first time buyers – and we expect to be on site in 12-18 months.
Housing Development – Leicestershire
StripeHomes has a nine plot development with a range of properties aimed at first time buyers and a leisure centre coming soon in Leicestershire – we expect to be on site in Q3 in 2021 with a 16-18 month completion date.
