Following the opening up of the property and construction sector in May StripeHomes is back on site on its Quayside View Studios development in Newcastle.
Over the last six weeks Meldrum Construction have been hard at work to get construction back underway and get the project up and running after three months of lockdown due to covid-19.
Traffic management is now in place on Skinnerburn Road and the road has been cleared and cleaned by the site team.
The site has now been fully cleared and civil engineering works are now taking place. Soil testing has been conducted and the demolition of the former building is been carried out.
The construction team have now begun excavating the land to get it level for the development and have started weatherproofing the existing building on the right hand side of the site.
James Forrester, managing director of StripeHomes, said: “It’s great to be back on site and pushing ahead with the building of Quayside View Studios.
“Whilst there were three months of inactivity across the country due to covid-19 we now have everything in place to move forward.
“This is going to be an exciting development in a key part of Newcastle – which is undergoing some phenomenal regeneration – and it’s great that StripeHomes is playing its part.”
