StripeHomes Development Updates June 2021

It’s been a busy first five months since the start to 2021 for StripeHomes and as we continue to come out of the UK lockdown with all eyes on the 21 June.

Despite government restrictions we have been pushing forward with our development programme across the North East and Midlands.

Midlands

25 St Paul’s – Luxury Residential Apartments & Commercial Unit

Our Birmingham flagship scheme, 25 St Paul’s, is located in the city’s iconic Jewellery Quarter on the historic Georgian square.

It is the last plot of land that is able to be developed on the square and each apartment will also overlook St Paul’s Church.

The development will comprise of four luxury, New York-style apartments each with its own dedicated floor and a commercial unit which has already been pre-sold by StripeHomes.

Groundwork investigations have now taken place on the site and StripeHomes is pleased to confirm that a contractor and full design and consultant team have now been assigned for the construction of the development.

StripeHomes have also been awarded the contract for the adjacent number 24 St Paul’s where we will be building a new top floor duplex apartment with a sustainable green roof on the neighbouring property. 

Windmill Grange – Lichfield Housing Development

Our Lichfield development has now been named – it will be called ‘Windmill Grange’ to retain the history of being on the former Windmill Public House site.

Windmill Grange will comprise of 12 three bed townhouses with gardens and courtyard parking which will include electric car charging points.

There are two plots with The Darwin three bed townhouse design – these are the bigger properties on the development with prices starting from £325,000.

The Darwin is named after one of the most significant eighteenth century Lichfeldians, Eramus Darwin (1731 – 1802).

He established a reputation as a doctor, scientist, inventor and literary man and built up a national reputation for his humane and efficient treatment of medical problems, particularly insanity.

The remaining 10 plots are in The Ashmole three bed townhouse design – which will start from £285,000.

The Ashmole is named in honour of Elias Ashmole (1617 – 1692) who was an antiquary who was born in Breadmarket Street In 1617.

He attended Lichfield Grammar School and showed promise in several scholarly fields and in music.

The external CGIs have now been finalised for the development, along with the groundwork investigations that have now taken place and we look to progress with the build.

The design, consultant and contractor teams have all been appointed, and we are looking to start the demolition of the vacant former public house over the course of the coming weeks.

Yew Tree View – Norton Canes Housing Development

Our Norton Canes development has been named Yew Tree View and can be found in the heart of the town.

The five plot development will comprise of three bed homes – in The Norton house design – which is aimed at first time buyers and families.

StripeHomes has now had our external CGIs complete for the development and we recently conducted groundwork investigations as we move forward with the scheme.

We are happy to report that we have appointed the design, consultant and contractor teams for the Yew Tree View development, and again we are looking to start the demolition of the former commercial building over the course of the coming weeks.

StripeHomes Head Office

Following the expansion of StripeHomes into the Midlands and with a number of new sites across the region already underway we will be moving to a new head office.

There are plans for a complete internal fit out in early autumn to support our growing team and also offer additional services to property buyers from the new premise.

Working with our preferred suppliers Wren Kitchens and Porcelanosa we will be creating our sales selection hub on the ground floor including built kitchens, bathrooms and lounge areas to give buyers the full experience of their new home.

StripeHomes will be able to offer a tailor finish to a buyer’s home with our exclusive StripeHomes range.

Buyers will be able to see our bespoke range of internal products such as taps, kitchen cupboards, worktops, doors as well as a range of flooring options which will allow a buyers to upgrade and tailor to their own design and colour scheme above the already high specification of our developments.

Newcastle

Quayside View Studios

Up in Newcastle StripeHomes continues with the build of our Quayside View Studios development. The scheme has had a minor slowdown over the last few months due to covid-related matters.

The various design, consultant and construction teams are back at full strength now and will be pushing the development forward over the coming months.

Construction teams are currently working on the clearance, groundworks and finalising the detail for the retaining wall on the rear bank of the scheme.

5 Cross Street

Our 5 Cross Street Newcastle development in the heart of the city’s China Town will comprise of luxury two bed apartments above a commercial office.

Currently there is a team clearing and tidying the site and getting it prepared for the construction teams, as our design team work towards finalising the designs and specification.
